Description:
Private day tour from Belgrade, Serbia, to Novi Sad
Pick up from your Belgrade hotel and drive through the fertile Danube valley to two of Serbia’s most significant and historic towns, Novi Sad and Sremski Karlovci, considered to be the political and cultural heart of the country. Begin in Novi Sad, the country’s second largest city overlooked by the impressive Petrovaradin fortress which hosts the famous EXIT music festival at the beginning of July. Visit the fortress to admire the panoramic views of the town and river, and explore some of its underground tunnels. Tour the charming old quarter, Stari Grad, and see some of its numerous churches and its grand architecture, reminiscent of many more famous central European cities.
Continue to Sremski Karlovci, a handsome town and visit the seminary, the Residence of the Patriarch where there is a breathtaking array of icons in the chapel, and the rich interior of the Orthodox Cathedral with its magnificent iconostasis. Afterwards, enjoy a tour of a family-run honey museum and wine cellar. Return to your Belgrade hotel.
