A magnificent shore excursion in St Petersburg starts at the cruise ship terminal where you will meet your guide. Catherine’s Palace is the most famous of St Petersburg’s magnificent imperial palaces, a jaw-dropping extravaganza filled with exquisite art, furniture and decorations. Close by is the once-grand but now neglected Alexander Palace, but this was the real home of the doomed Tsar Nicholas II and his family, far removed from the opulence of the official court until their exile and imprisonment – here you can see photographs and personal belongings scattered around the private quarters of the last imperial family.

Please note this tour is not available on Tuesdays. The tour lasts around 6 hours. A Russian visa is not required for this tour.
