| Pick up from your Shanghai hotel and drive to the Shanghai Railway Museum. In a replica of Shanghai's old North Station are three great exhibits, the first a giant steam locomotive donated by the US after WWII, the second a luxurious carriage for VIPs of the pre-war era, and thirdly, a narrow-gauge steam locomotive that worked for over sixty years in the mountainous Yunnan Province of China. There are old photos and maps, models of railwaymens' cabins, their uniforms and badges, bells, and a special interactive lab where you can learn to drive a train!
